I say it's about time! Leading professional social network and infamous walled garden 2.0 LinkedIn will finally let its users data out of the cage. It's going to happen within the next 9 months, Dan Farber reports. Although maybe a bit late (why another 9 months?) and definitely in response to competitor Facebook's rapid growth and general acclaim after doing the same, they've definitely made the right decision. Let's hope all the data will be exposed so that some extremely cool mashup stuff becomes possible.

Update 28-06-7: there's a LinkedIn IPO coming soon, which explains the moves I described above.
