Battlestar Galactica. Why debugging matters.

Battlestar Galactica, and a bit of Microsoft too...

I've enjoyed a number of extraordinary tv-series on DVD in the last months, including Deadwood and The Wire. The consequence is that I barely watch traditional tv-broadcasts anymore. But when a few weeks ago a local Belgian channel started running Battlestar Galactica, I decided to follow along... until I missed an episode. No problem, I thought. I'll go out and buy the series on DVD. Then the people at the store told me that the first season (after having been available for months) isn't available while it is running on tv. A quick search along the Belgian e-shops gives the same result: no Battlestar Galactica S01 on their 'infinite shelf space'. Shame on you, little big media, for this lousy arrangement.

To end on a more positive note: take a look at the screenshot from the Battlestar Galactica homepage (found here , dates from a while back), and observe the hilarious ad for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005: Cylons. Why debugging matters. Only for insiders and geeks, I'm afraid :-)
